PC Board Artwork, Rev 5Here is the artwork required to etch the printed circuit board. You can buy bare boards, but if you like etching circuit boards, here are the high resolution images you will need. This board uses a modest number of vias, and has 8 mil (0.2 mm) traces, with 8 mil spacing and many wires connect on the component side, and the ICs are close enough together that it is very difficult to solder the top layer with a socket. Four ICs require PLCC sockets, so insert pins soldered both sides are needed underneath these PLCC sockets. This circuit board artwork is distributed in the hope that it will be useful, but it is provided without any warranty, not even a warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
These TIFF images are exactly 600 DPI. When printed, the board size should be 6.00 by 4.01 inches (15.24 by 10.185 cm). For proper printed results, use a high quality graphics manipulation software package that allows you to exactly control the printed output resolution. On Linux, the GIMP works very well, and it's free software. Many linux distributions include it installed by default, or available on the cdroms. On Microsoft Windows, Photoshop or similar packages are your best choice. Saddly, Photoshop is a lot more expensive than the GIMP (which works just was well).
Bare Board Available From PJRCHere is a photo of a bare board that can be purchased from PJRC.
